Tungsten Carbide Rings

Tungsten carbide  is a chemical compound (specifically, a carbide) containing equal parts of tungsten and carbon atoms. In its most basic form, tungsten carbide is a fine gray powder, but it can be pressed and formed into shapes through sintering for use in industrial machinery, cutting tools, chisels, abrasives, armor-piercing shells and jewelry.
Impact strength determines how much energy a metal can absorb through impact without shattering or fracturing. Tungsten, which is Swedish for "heavy stone," is the strongest metal in the world. It was identified as a new element in 1781.
Because of their extreme hardness, tungsten carbide rings are highly resistant to scratches, making them a great choice for those who work with their hands but want to wear a metal ring every day. It's important to note though that even tungsten isn't completely indestructible.
Tungsten carbide is a hard, durable material that will remain polished virtually forever.
